Having reformed a defunct side that had previously competed in the Surrey South Eastern Combination, the Saturday First Team wasted little time in claiming a league and cup double in their first season (2012-13). After spending the following year acclimatising to their new surroundings and narrowly missing out on promotion, they were crowned Junior Division Two champions after a highly successful 2014-2015 campaign, one that also saw them finish up as the Geoff Ellis Premier Shield runners-up and coincided with their first victory on foreign soil. The side made an immediate impression in Junior Division One - winning their 3rd league title in 4 seasons and once again finishing up as the Geoff Ellis Premier Shield runners-up.
AFC Ewell Saturday Firsts finished 4th, 5th and 5th in the next 3 seasons in Intermediate Division 2, narrowly missing out on promotion to Intermediate Division 1 on all 3 occasions. However, they secured promotion at the fourth time of asking as runners-up in the prematurely ended 2019-2020 campaign. Locked in a two horse race with Sporting 50, who had 25 points from 10 games versus Ewell's 23 points from 10 games, the league used the 'points per game' model to determine that Sporting would have finished with 45 points and Ewell with 41. The sides had not met in the league, so Ewell could have possibly achieved their 4th league title in 8 seasons. The 2023-2024 season ended with a closely contested 3-2 loss in the Gordon Worsfold Senior Cup.
